- All Sky Automated Survey (ASAS), Pojmanski 2002, limited by V~14 mag, all sky survey, observing from Chile since 1997 and from Hawai since 2006.
- Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment (OGLE), Udalski 2003, Bulge, LMC and SMC only, continuously gathers data since 1996.
- SDSS-II Supernova Survey, e.g. Holtzman et al. 2008
- Palomar Transient Factory, e.g. Rau et al. 2009, in operation since Dec.2008
