Welcome!
The 15th Gaia Science Alerts workshop and the ORP Time-Domain meeting will be held in Heraklion, Crete, and online 30 Sep - 2 Oct 2024
The main goals of the workshop are:
- celebrate 10th anniversary of the first Gaia Alerts
- update on the Gaia mission
- update on the Gaia Alerts
- update on the BHTOM follow-up system
- Gaia Alerts highlights and results in transient astronomy (supernovae, microlensing, novae)
- synergies with radio within the new OPTICON-RadioNET Pilot (ORP) grant
- new members of the telescope network
- organization of the follow-up
- opportunities for small and mid-sized telescopes
The workshop will be preceded by a dedicated week (23-27.Sep) of BHTOM+TOM (LCO) work for selected people only.
Note that on 3-4 Oct there will be a special related meeting of the OPTICON-Aliance to take place in FORTH/Heraklion.
