Vipava is a small town in western Slovenia. It is approximately 80 kilometers west from the capitol Ljubljana.
The valley of Vipava river is known for its natural beauty and wine production. There are many hiking possibilities in the near by hills and it is a home to some of the most beautiful caves (e.g. Postojna, Skocjan) in the region.

By Air
Slovenia has one airport near the capitol Ljubljana LJU It is connected to most major cities over Europe.
There are also two Italian airports that we recommend:
Trieste (TRS) which is actually closer to Vipava than Slovenian one and is bigger and has more connections.
Venice airport Marco Polo: offers low fare easy jet flights in addition to many standard airline connections
We recommend that you use GoOpti for transfer from your choosen airport.
